The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) is a professional membership organization that protects the rights of its members by licensing and distributing royalties for their copyrighted works. Established in 1914, its mission is to provide a collective voice for creators in the music industry and to offer the world a richer catalog of music. Headquartered in New York City, the 107-year-old membership organization also has offices in London, Hong Kong, and Nashville, among others.
