AARP

AARP, formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, is a U.S.-based non-profit organization aiming to advocate for important issues at hand for those over the age of 50, providing insurance, health information, advice on retirement planning, and other services. Founded in 1958 by Ethel Percy Andrus, AARP's mission is to empower people to choose how they live as they age, with a vision to create a society in which everyone ages with dignity and purpose. The organization operates from its headquarters in Washington D.C., with additional offices across all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
